ABSTRACT
We very much hope that you have enjoyed using this book and that it has achieved at least one of its purposes which was to enrich your appreciation of Media Studies as a discipline. As we point out in the Introduction, it was interesting for us as authors to note how much both the media landscape and the approach to Media Studies as a discipline has shifted over the nine years between the two editions of this title. Today new issues and debates emerge so rapidly within the media that it is at times hard to keep up. If anything, this pace of change looks likely to increase in the coming years.
