ABSTRACT
Over the past decade I have conducted research on the political mobilizations of non-status refugees and migrants,1 specifically campaigns against deportation and detention, and for regularization and freedom of movement. Of particular interest to me have been campaigns that are initiated and led by self-organized groups of non-status people. These campaigns, I have argued, allow us to think critically about political subjectivity in relation to non-citizenship.
