ABSTRACT

Potters (taoren 1 ) make the boiler (or the steamer with a tripod) (yan 2 ), which holds two fu. 3 Its wall is a half cun in thickness, and the upper rim is one cun thick. The basin (pen 4 ), likewise, contains two fu. Its wall is half a cun thick, and the upper rim is one cun thick. The steaming-vessel (zeng 5 ), on which there are seven bottom eyelets, also holds the same quantity and has the same dimensions in thickness with the boiler (yan). The cooking tripod (with hollow legs) (li 6 ) holds five hu. 7 The wall thickness is a half cun, and the upper rim is one cun thick. The earthen utensil (yu 8 ) holds two hu.
