ABSTRACT
Introduction A key aspect of the work-based facilitator’s role is student assessment. Successful supervision requires the facilitator to know why there is a need to assess learning, different approaches to assessment, what is a reliable and valid assessment and how to use feedback to enhance student learning. This unit will identify the skills required to assess in the workplace and assist you in managing students’ success and failure.
