ABSTRACT

This approach to the student experience suggests that student and academic affairs approach the student experience from a similar philosophical perspective and share complementary goals for students at Eastern University. Other approaches to student learning have been taken over time, and while the goal of students having as robust a learning experience as possible is similar, the approach taken can be very different. Several of these traditional models of student affairs practice are discussed below; including the competitive, adversarial model; cocurricular model; and seamless learning model.
