ABSTRACT

In July and August 1923, both APOC and EGS in London were advocating their cases to the British Government, the former urging the merits of their latest draft concession and the latter seeking official approval for their negotiations. The only development in Kuwait was that Shaikh Ahmad on 13th July informed the Political Resident that the terms of the APOC draft concession, as presented to him in June, were 'entirely unacceptable to himself and his people'.
