A: Eight thousand, plus 100,000 other acts of violence (Huston et al., 1992 ). If they happened to have seen the fi lm Die Hard 2 , they saw 264 murders in that movie alone! According to a 2007 study, there was one instance of violent, sexual, or profane content every 4.8 minutes on TV programming between 7 and 9 p.m. (“Numbers,” 2007).
