ABSTRACT
This topic has two sections: pupil talk and teacher talk. Pupil talk is about how we create contexts for pupils to use language to think, express ideas, deepen their knowledge and learn social skills. Teacher talk is the way we as teachers, teaching assistants and mentors use language to help pupils in that process.
