What Ofsted Expects to See as Evidence of Whole-School Literacy

Ofsted has given increased emphasis to literacy in the most recent incarnation of the inspection framework. Wisely - almost as if they had read this book! - they choose not to call it literacy, but instead refer to ‘reading, writing and communication’. It’s not an attractive phrase but it does map out the territory with some clarity.
