ABSTRACT

Even though the world economy remains in a state of economic stress, there are a few countries whose economies and travel markets look promising. Two large populated countries, China and India, accounting for about one-third of the world’s population, have had, over recent years, and continue to have, robust economies. Both these countries are generating substantial amounts of outbound travel. Some additional developing countries like Brazil are also showing improvement in their economic outlook. The economic situation in Europe remains sluggish and the United States’ economy appears to be improving.
