The requirements depend on:
■ the size of the premises;
■ the number of persons working or visiting the site at any one time;
■ the degree of fl ammability of the materials used to construct the workplace or being used in the workplace;
■ height above or below the ground fl oor and distance to a place of safety; and
■ the remoteness of the workplace relative to water supplies and/or fi re and rescue services.
