ABSTRACT

A. GENERAL 119. Supply is of decisive importance for the success of the commitment of tank and mechanized troops. The impetus of the combat troops, the duration of their commitment and the depth of the advance depends on uninterrupted supply. 120. As a rule, tank (mechanized, motorized rifle) brigades, regiments, and battalions are not assigned organic rear services, but quarter their supply troops and units in the rear area of combined arms formations. 121. The supply base of separate tank brigades and regiments is the supply railroad station of one of the combined arms formations. 122. By regulation supply takes into consideration: - tactical-technical characteristics of combat equipment and

support trucks; - duration and type of impending combat activities; - existence and condition of reserve and evacuation routes and

the threat to them by the enemy.
