ABSTRACT
We have described (Part IV) marked and prolonged anxiety states such as occur in involution melancholia and some examples have also been given of briefer fear states in which the emotional reaction is sometimes not very dramatic. Our material, therefore, includes all variations of anxiety psychoses. It is time to see what generalizations can be made, which might further understanding of this emotional reaction.
