ABSTRACT
Diane Frost is a Research Fellow jointly with the Department of Economic and Social History, University of Liverpool, and The Merseyside Maritime Museum. Her doctorate on Kru maritime migrant workers during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, completed in 1992, was based on fieldwork in West Africa and the Toxteth area of Liverpool.
