ABSTRACT

Technology has become a necessary and everyday part of people’s lives, being employed in education, work, and leisure. Advances in the information and communication landscape facilitate the development of new strategies, the optimization of knowledge creation, teaching with new methods, and implementation of technology-rich projects. The rapid expansion of social media, the ubiquity of smartphones and new devices such as tablets, as well as the growth of wireless communications are a few of the factors that generate change in learners’ expectations. Educators have the responsibility to engage learners without sacrificing good pedagogy, and to somehow teach them and learn from them at the same time.
