ABSTRACT
It is no part of the intended scope of this book to deal fully with the general theory of Emotion. None the less, it is desirable that I should give some brief outline of my personal views on the subject as they stand at the present time, partly in order to avoid possible misunderstandings and partly to make as clear as I can what it is that I conceive myself to have been measuring in the various experiments described.
