ABSTRACT
Chinese crime syndicates! have risen to such prominence in the past two decades that they have become a subject of great concern to law enforcement and government officials in the USA, Canada, Australia and Europe.z US law enforcement authorities now consider Chinese crime groups to be the second most serious organized crime problem in America. Furthermore, it is speculated that Chinese criminal groups may surpass Italian organized crime groups in importance in the near future.) Despite the widely reported increase of Chinese crime groups in heroin and human trafficking activities, in recent years only a handful of serious research studies have been conducted.
