ABSTRACT
As was indicated originally in Chapter 1, to develop a successful inventory control system it is necessary to specify a set of rules to decide how such a system is to be replenished in the light of:
0 the demand pattern that the inventory control system is subjected to; and
0 the procurement leadtime - the delay between placing an order for replenishment on a supplier and its subsequent receipt into stock ready for issue.
