ABSTRACT

Weare using XSL transforms on a client machine to demonstrate the basic principles. In reality, most of the XSL processing is done on servers. Earlier we mentioned how a hypothetical organisation might like to tum its data into many different formats. In the not-so-distant past, converting from one electronic format to another was a difficult and costly business. With XML and XSL such conversion becomes financially viable, as the processes are done automatically. You can have a single set of documents held in XML format, then convert them as needed for a plethora of uses.
