All these matters can affect employment, the cost of living and the quality of life here. The UK has around a sixth of the total present EU population – 60 million out of 380 millions. That, plus its economic strengths and influence in the world, demand that its collective voice should be heard, based on rational opinions formed by as many as possible of the electorate here.
