ABSTRACT

In principle, we could tediously list what the memorizer knows (eg a long list of formulae, vocabulary items, etc). But in the case of the re-deriver, how on earth could we capture what that person knew? Even if we could capture it and store it, how could we impart that knowledge to someone else? This is surely one of the great challenges of educational theory and practice! Indeed, if we could capture the knowledge, store it, and impart it to others, we would be well on our way towards a theory and practice of knowledge media, because knowledge media is about the capturing, storing, imparting, sharing, accessing, and creating of knowledge.
