In the height of battle alas, Charlie was often unheard and unnoticed, and frequently dead. I hope that writing the last chapter in this volume does not place me in the role of tail-end Charlie. There are a lot of pilots flying this particular machine, so bringing up the rear is an unenviable task. However, I am still alive and my machine gun is loaded.
