ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the process of bidding to procure a sport, recreation or
tourism event. The chapter defines the key elements that are typically contained
in the bid process. These include a feasibility study, an outline of timelines and
mandatory requirements for the bid, sometimes referred to as a candidature
document, a bid questionnaire, a bid submission or dossier, and a bid tour.
