ABSTRACT
A rumour had been circulating all afternoon that something was about to happen. People were getting nervous. Then word went round that everyone should congregate in the programming team’s work area. There was going to be a briefing. The contractors weren’t sure whether they were included as well as the permanent staff, but they went anyway.
