ABSTRACT

In previous chapters, I have tried to represent some of the changes in organizational thinking which are influenced by a number of sources. First, the nature of the organization has been heavily influenced by increased interdependencies encouraged by globalization. As supply chains expand, even for medium and smaller organizations, the need to shift views and values has grown. The concept of the organization, at this point, is represented in nuclear, open, and virtual forms, and those engaged in organizational development struggle with different ways of approaching and supporting this variety.
