ABSTRACT
The control of risks is essential to secure and main-tain a healthy and safe workplace which complies with local relevant legal requirements. Hazard identification and risk assessment were covered in Chapter 5 and these together with appropriate risk control measures form the core of the Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems such as ILO-OSH 2001, OHSAS18001 and UK, HSG65. Chapter 1 covered these in more detail.
