ABSTRACT
It is difficult to determine the damage caused by politically motivated groups. The aim of this chapter is to try to deter-mine the future impact that these organisations will have. The uses these political groups have made of the Web are analogous to more conventional organisations. No judgement is made about the aims of these terrorist/political groups. One person's freedom fighter is another's terrorist. Whatever your opinion of these organisations, it is interesting to observe how the power of electronic networks has been embraced by them.
