The best evidence, of course, would be to allow the results to speak for themselves, but in the real commercial world that presents the usual chicken and egg dilemma, which is exceedingly difficult to bypass. There is no difficulty in canvassing support for the idea that good design is desirable but the caveat always remains that it is necessary to demonstrate tangible benefits. In time, the trick will be to turn good design into a strategic advantage.
