ABSTRACT
Neglect marks the breakdown of attachment. A gap grows between parent and child, and if not checked, the gap can grow into a gulf between the child and siblings, relatives, peers, and adults in the community. Neglect robs our children of their dreams, hides our angels, and leaves our neighborhoods impoverished.
