ABSTRACT
What is electricity? Where does it come from? How fast does it travel? In order to answer such questions, it is necessary to understand the nature of substances.
Every substance known to man is composed of molecules which in turn are made up of atoms. Substances whose molecules are formed by atoms of the same type are known as elements, of which there are known to be, at present, more than 100 (Table 2.1).
