ABSTRACT
A company ’ s business and fi nancial strategies must operate in tandem to deliver the value demanded by its shareholders. In order to accomplish this, it is useful for its directors and advisors to understand how the shareholders expect to achieve that value; in this chapter we demonstrate these expectations using the price/earnings (P/E) ratio.
