ABSTRACT
Every project initiative exudes a spirit. If it is building based, this colours the spirit and mood of its building(s). Every building that houses an initiative influences its spirit and mood. Every building is, or will be, built in a particular place. If project and place are to be in harmony, they need to be saying at least compatible things. All too often, they aren't. Initiatives shouldn't have to change – but buildings and places can. To bring initiative and place into harmony, it is place we need to work on.
