ABSTRACT

In Appendix 2, general guidelines to assignment approaches were outlined, including samples

for each element of the syllabus. This section provides details of the assignments and exam-

inations that were actually set for assessment in the first period of the 2003-2004 cycle. The

CIM student website will provide access to suggested approaches and the Senior Examiner

report. The commentaries provided here and the characteristics of stronger and weaker

answers provide additional support which you will find helpful in understanding the require-

ments of this aspect of assessment.
