The interesting phrase in this last quotation is under the right conditions. It is the responsibility of the leadership of the organization to ‘create’ the right conditions, and these do not happen by accident. As Don Argus said, ‘you must have a process and apply it in a disciplined way’. This is why people change management is one of the three essentials of a BPM project (Figure 25.1). It is the process of applying the changes planned for in the project.
