ABSTRACT

The structure of this chapter is as follows. The second section looks at the value proposition of a BPMM model and how different maturity stages can be represented within such a model. The third section presents a new maturity model developed specifically for BPM, and details the objectives and core framework of this model. A focus of this section is on the major characteristics of the model as represented by six critical success factors and their underlying capability areas. The fourth section discusses how this

BPMM model can be applied within an organization to drive improved oper­ ational performance, whilst the fifth section provides the justification and support for the model development. The final section concludes with a brief summary.
