ABSTRACT

Why is leadership (Figure 26.1) one of the essentials to a successful BPM project? This is an important question. The answer partially lies in the BPM project scenario selected by the business.

The ‘business as usual’ and ‘in the driver’s seat’ scenarios will require a high level of BPM understanding and support from leadership. Without this level of support the project will struggle to obtain funding and commitment from the organization and business. Projects under these scenarios tend to be high profile and have the potential to have a high business impact. Leadership must not allow projects of this nature to proceed unless they support them.
