Except for AD M the above documents do not have the force of law, but conformity with their recommendations will make it easier to demonstrate that the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (qv) have been met. The most relevant clauses in the three main documents include the following:

They are used at pedestrian crossings (qv) where the kerb (qv) has been dropped to be flush with the road surface as shown under blister surfaces .
