ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a general introduction to the football industry in
Korea, focusing on the Korea Football Association and the professional league
(K-League). The unique characteristics and scale of the Korean football
industry will be described through their history, status, structure, profit-
ability and operating system. Finally, the chapter provides an outlook for the
future of Korea’s football industry.
