ABSTRACT

Communication means transmission of information. In the case of large, network-controlled projects, the information must be transmitted between different levels of management and operatives, sometimes from one department to another, and always between the planners and the other participants already mentioned. The precise patterns and content of communication must clearly depend on the organization structure. The effectiveness of the communication depends on the ability and willingness of recipients to understand the message. For this reason education and training are required at all levels - see Chapter 16. The reports used as a basis of communication must be carefully designed to suit their individual purpose. The form of reports will be elaborated later.
