ABSTRACT
The principal objective of this chapter is to understand some of the cultural complexities and diversities in the European Union members. Specifically, a number of European countries will be examined in some depth, providing historical perspective and cultural guidelines, while combined profiles will be presented for 18 other nations. So as to appreciate the continent’s differences and prospects, this treatment is
divided into five geographical areas-western, central, northern, southeastern, and eastern, including Eurasia.
