ABSTRACT
In the design phase of project delivery, many opportunities exist to infl uence the sustainability of the resulting facility project. This chapter describes the integrated design process that is key to developing sustainable projects, and presents a range of strategies that can be incorporated in design to improve project sustainability. It concludes with two case studies to illustrate these strategies in practice.
