ABSTRACT
PLANA is the acronym of the German concept “Planung von Unterricht unter dem Gesichtspunkt der Lehrstoff-Analyse.” The English translation is: “Planning Instruction under the consideration of subject matter analysis.” PLANA is based on an instructional task analysis procedure that had been previously developed for theoretical analysis and research purposes (Schott, 1975, 1992). This earlier procedure is named GRIP, an acronym for “General Representational Instructional Task Procedure.”
