ABSTRACT
Conceptual style is a measure of the categorizing strategy that individuals use to sort objects and form concepts. Two distinct strategies exist: analytical categorization and relational categorization (Ausburn & Ausburn, 1798). Initially, Kagan, Moss, and Sigel (1963) described a third, inferential category. An individual’s style is determined by the degree of equivalence or conceptual differentiation of the categories.
