“What is so obnoxious about The Simpsons”, a friend of mine says, “I don't like the way they look. I don't like the way they sound. I'm not going to watch them!… The humor doesn't appeal to me. A lot of it's slapstick and rude. Violent. I don't find it funny. I don't find it amusing. I don't find it socially uplifting.”
