There is one of two choices to be made: shallow plan (Figure 65 and Figure 66), or deep plan (Figure 67). In a single-sided building (a building with windows on only one facade) with a typical floor to ceiling height of about three metres, the shallow plan means that the building is not deeper than six metres from the window to the back wall. In a double-sided building (a building with windows on two opposite facades) with the same typical floor to ceiling height of three metres, the shallow plan means that the building is not deeper than twelve metres between the opposite facades (Figure 65).
