ABSTRACT

There is a growing trend in educational contexts for teachers to develop, not just as competent and capable practitioners, but also as generators of educational theory, and we plan to help you to begin such a process for yourself. When we refer to ‘we’, we are speaking about ourselves, the authors of the book, and we are hopeful that you, our reader, will find that our book guides you not only as you try to make sense of the challenges that you experience in your workplace, but also as you engage in formal studies at postgraduate level.
