ABSTRACT
This chapter aims to share with practitioners the requirements of the EYFS guidance for mathematical development and the recommendations of the Independent Review of Mathematics Teaching in Early Years Settings and Primary Schools (DCSF, 2008b), known as the Williams review. The revised ELGs are provided later in the chapter.
