ABSTRACT

In Chapter 1, you began your quest for artistic inspiration, a journey to breathe life into a character and a role. The theme for this book has been to assist you, by means of the Stanislavsky System, to identify the artistic inspiration within yourself; then, through knowledge, exercises, games, and improvisations, give you the technical means and confidence to bring your talent and artistry to light for audiences. Step-by-step you have come to practice and assimilate the essential interconnected Elements of Action, as outlined in Chapter 2: The Actor’s Palette. Through this conditioning you have begun to behave psychophysically onstage. This has allowed you to explore a play through the engaged techniques of Active Analysis. All of these steps will eventually lead to experiencing and incarnation of the character within the given circumstances. The last threshold is to establish communion with your audience so that you can impact them with your character’s supertask as it serves the supertask of the play and production. How do you achieve this ultimate goal?
