ABSTRACT
Part I of this book focused on social science considerations for understanding community and forest connections. Part II explored how forest management issues shape communities and communities in turn affect forest management. In Part III, this chapter and the three chapters that follow examine the ways that forest and community connections develop into unique forms of forest governance, each emphasizing the integration of community health with forest health.
