ABSTRACT
In this paper I discuss the pattern of territorial aggregation among Konkomba and the structure of the social units that occupy a territorial unit (Tait 1953). The paper falls into two principal sections : first comes an account of the units I call clan and district ; secondly comes an analysis of the clan.
